Even before my students became involved with Mikva Challenge events, I had the opportunity to take students to Judge Mary Mikva’s courtroom. She was incredibly welcoming and asked the lawyers at the hearing to present their arguments to my students.
When we discovered the opportunities the Mikva Challenge provided across Chicagoland, I realized we had our initial glimpse at the Mikva family’s tremendous legacy of dedication to activism and empowerment of youth in that courtroom.
