Mikva Challenge is engaging 165 young people in paid internships in offices of elected officials and our policy-making Councils this summer! Youth leaders will dive into Mikva’s ‘think-tank’ summer to answer the framing question posed to each Council and building leadership, communication and critical thinking skills along the way. Youth leaders will hear from issue experts, conduct research, survey their peers, and come up with policy recommendations which they will then present to the city’s top decision makers.
A very exciting addition to our summer programs this year is the introduction of “Mass Action Fridays,” an intensive collection of individual and collective workshops that will prepare our youth leaders to address civic issues through digital media and advocacy.
