Education Council Launches Summer Blog
The Mikva Challenge Education Council launched on Thursday, July 9th a blog to reflect on their policymaking activities this summer. The Education Council, one of Mikva Challenge's three Youth-led Advisory Councils to the City, advises Chicago Public Schools CEO on issues regarding young people and school reform. After gathering research about the health of schools in Chicago, the council is preparing a white paper to present to the CEO at the end of the summer. The council's "white paper" will propose a number of recommendations for dealing with some of the toughest problems affecting Chicago Public Schools.
