Mikva Challenge is now accepting applications for our Summer Government and Leadership Institute and our Citywide Youth Councils.

SUMMER GOVERNMENT & LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

Mikva Challenge's Summer Government and Leadership Institute places interns in the offices of public officials during the summer. This is an excellent opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to get first-hand experiences of the behind the scenes work of public officials, and at the same time, gain valuable office experience and leadership development.

CITYWIDE YOUTH COUNCIL RECRUITMENT

Mikva Challenge's Citywide Youth Councils assist and advise city officials on issues affecting young people in Chicago, particularly in the areas of health, safety, education, employment and after-school programming. By relying on research, council members develop policy recommendations that they then present to their city allies. Mikva's Citywide Youth Councils are now recruiting new council members for their new cycle. Please note that this is a year-round program that begins in the summer, and only freshman, sophomore, and juniors are eligible to apply.

Applications for Mikva's Citywide Youth Councils are due by April 14th.
