Welcome to the Mikva Challenge, where democracy is a VERB. We challenge high school students throughout Chicago to be active participants in the political process through elections, activism and policy-making programs.

We know that young adults learn civics best when they are actively engaged in democratic activities inside and outside the classroom, and we believe that our schools, neighborhoods and city can be transformed by the insight and expertise of these young civic leaders.
